2017年的《堕落街传奇》是一部高分(IMDb: 8.1)美剧，已经有3季25集；由尺度祖师爷HBO出品，主要讲述70、80年代纽约站街、皮条产业的的崛起和兴衰。堕落街，是纽约第七大道和第八大道之间的第42街的别称，上世纪70年代，正值美国深陷越南战争的漩涡里。经济衰落，各个行业均不景气，而为了生存，压力巨大的人们，迫切需要发泄的出口。于是堕落街就成了他们的首选之地。这里可以说是纽约最混乱，最败坏的地方，也是众多罪犯的温床。站街女、皮条、黑帮在这里随处可见。这些皮条客以黑人为主，每人手下有了三四个姑娘，就成了一个小团伙。姑娘们只负责接单，而皮条客则负责拉单、管理、保护，解决姑娘们的一应需求。所以他们又被姑娘们戏称为：老爹。不过有一个人却特立独行。她就是：坎蒂。因为无法忍受“老爹”们的压榨，便自己出来单干。凭借人美情商高，她的客户越发得多。生意红火这让她越来越认为，自己出来单干，是一个正确的选择，哪怕有人再度拉她入伙，她都直接拒绝。除了工作赚钱之外，坎蒂内心一直有一个梦想，那便是成为一名演员。一次意外的机会，她认识了导演：哈维。凭着高情商和高颜值，她很快成为了剧组中的一名演员。。。。。。

而另一位主角：文森特，则是一个很倒霉的酒保。生活在经济大萧条下的他，为了生活，累得要死，一周七晚，都在不同的酒吧上班；深夜下班，还得特别小心，生怕被抢劫。生活已经如此艰难了，他的老婆，居然还贴心地给他带了一顶绿帽子；这直接让文森特绝望，不过幸好，他是个非常有头脑的人。为了让自己打工的酒吧，生意好转。他让女服务员穿性感制服，以此吸引客人，并拯救了酒吧的生意。善于思考的他，也因此得到了一位大佬的赏识，并从大佬手里接管了一家音像店。根据老板的要求，他督建起了“私人影院”，以接待男性顾客。随着“私人影院”和影视行业的发展。“老爹”们的生意，也逐渐受到影响。。。。。。

虽然《堕落街传奇》以“尺度”为噱头，但噱头之外，它在用最底层的视角，看当时美国最完整浮世绘。行业的变迁、历史洪流下的无力感、房地产繁荣与萧条、HIV等社会话题。。。。。。
